Gabe Copeland



Gabe Copeland currently dances with and has choreographed for Rhapsody in Taps, an innovative rhythm tap ensemble headed by Linda Sohl-Ellison. He has studied with many tap greats and would like to acknowledge Joy Hewitt, Chance Taylor, Bob Carroll and Linda Sohl-Ellison for their direct influence to his style. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with Dianne Walker and has worked with the legendary Chester Whitmore in various projects. Gabriel is a choreographer and performer for Tap Overload. He has performed in many musical theater and dance productions throughout LA and Orange County including Fullerton Civic Light Opera and Downey Civic Light Opera. He is an associate artistic director and choreographer for Montage Dance Theater where he has directed and choreographed a community outreach production of West Side Story in Taps.

Gabe Copeland has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. From 2001 to 2005 Gabe worked as a Classified Employee / Inst. Asst. for the Capistrano Unified School District Special Education. This lead to his involvement in directing and choreographing for an original production entitled Dream: The Musical. A play based on a true story that brings on stage some of the challenges linked to adoption and autism.
