Tap dance artist Joshua Hilberman has been creating and performing original theatrical productions around the world for over 20 years. Recent highlights include collaboration with Calgary's Decidedly Jazz Danceworks on "2010: A Tap Oddity," as well as a German tour of his solo show, "Heeling Powers." A unique solo performer groomed by tap and vaudeville stars of the 1930's, his touring experience includes 7 seasons as the Jazz Nut in "Clara's Dream: A Jazz Nutcracker"; Nuremburg's World Championships of Paddle and Roll; three seasons as principal dancer with Manhattan Tap; American Tap Dance Foundation's "Tap City on Tour"; and three seasons in Germany with Thomas Marek's "About Tap." He has been recognized with the National Endowment for the Arts/Dance USA National College Choreography Initiative Award, and with the 2009 Presidential Scholars Teachers Recognition Award, Hilberman.
