
Terry Brock’s diverse background includes multiple choreographic works and an international performing career. She has performed and taught at numerous tap festivals and venues worldwide. Terry is currently artistic advisor for the notable Canadian tap organization Vancouver Tap Society. She has shared the stage with the late, great tappers; Gregory Hines, The Nicholas Brothers, Motown’s Cholly Atkins, Honi Coles, and an entire stable of our lost legends. Terry was a long-term member of the notable Jazz Tap Ensemble, performing nationally and internationally with the company. She has collaborated with Mercer Ellington in a tribute to his father, the famous Duke Ellington. Her choreography and performance highlighted this jazz event. Terry has performed with the San Francisco and Seattle symphonies, and created repertory for the Oregon Symphony. Early performances and Terry’s versatility led her to appear with many show business personalities, and during these years Terry was resident choreographer and lead dancer with the Spiral Starcase recording group, whose song More Today than Yesterday is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Terry is currently collaborating on a tribute to the legendary Eleanor Powell with Miss Powell’s son Peter Ford. Terry is honored to be a conservator of Miss Powell's choreography and is the chosen recipient of Elenor's tap shoes and travel trunk.
In addition to performance and choreographic projects, Terry teaches students worldwide, and is on the gifted dance staff at ACMA – the prestigious arts school in Beaverton, Ore.Terry’s passion to train and inspire the next generation thrives.
